PRIDE RECORDS

☆CULTURE
Organization around Pride headquarters is usually in a state of barely restrained chaos. It is a functional kind of madness, but madness all the same - being late is acceptable in direct proportion to your status and interactions between industry people tends to be loose, informal, and usually at least sort of vulgar. However, that doesn't mean you can get away with being talking too much shit if you're new - the veterans seem to be able to do more or less whatever they want, but when you're still at the bottom of the totem pole that means they can also do what they want with you. Making enemies is easy and also dangerous, but if you manage to hold your own it can also be a status booster. There are frequent parties on the various floor of the tower that everyone is invited to, and missing too many of them is considered sort of a social black mark. All sorts of vices are available to you if you ask for them, and the cheaper ones are available even if you don't.

Pride plays pretty fast and loose with the law, and one gets the impression that the authorities are not at all inclined to pry when it comes to this mega corporation. Whether or not it's through bribes, influence, or sheer intimidation isn't clear, but you get the impression that there very well could be an even darker side to this business than the one you're exposed to daily. Frat-like hazing rituals will occur from time to time, if the older musicians are feeling rowdy, which can easily include stuff that is dangerous if not totally immoral.

☆LOCATIONS
Every band is given their own penthouse in the spires of the Pride Records HQ. It is mandatory to live here, but at least it's about as luxurious as you could hope for. Private chefs arrive three times a day to prepare meals, and maids come by at least once a day to clear away the mess. There are well stocked entertainment systems, complete with all kinds of movies and video games. Each band member is easily given any electronics they could want for, including stereo equipment and computer - all Pride brands, of course.

Each band member is given their own bedroom, all of which are functionally identical. There is not much opportunity to customize, nor are they encouraged to do so. The decorating is extravagant but not exactly homey. Beds get made for you, and if you leave your clothes on the floor they will end up in the closet and washed. It's sort of like living in a hotel every day.

There are multiple bathrooms available in each penthouse, one of which has a jacuzzi. They don't allow for the most privacy, but hey, it's your band, right? You should be comfortable with that. Totally.

There are a variety of communal spaces that members from different Pride bands can mingle, including a selection of very exclusive clubs, lounges, and cafes. Nobody from the outside hands out in these places, unless they are local VIPs. You'll see veteran performers here from time to time as well, but they don't pay you much attention, as ever.
