☆ACTIVITY CHECK

As an excellent idea stolen gratefully from other games, Interstellar will be using the Permanent Activity post model of doing things. This means that instead of posting to a monthly activity check in the OOC comm, when you first join you will post a blank comment for your character, and from then on all future activity checks will be posted in reply to that comment. When they have been accepted, the comment will be frozen.

Activity check can be passed with the following:

► 20 comments worth of activity from your character, from at least two different log threads.

It cannot be passed with:

► Network threads, tabloids, or anything that isn't an in-person interaction.

The latter section, though, can absolutely be used to achieve Bonus AC, which is actually a very important feature of the game. While we don't want core activity to rely on network spam, it still definitely counts for something!

☆BONUS ACTIVITY

►BONUS AC
One point of MP is awarded for every 5 personal comments in a given thread. Each individual thread must have a minimum of 5 comments from you, and gain one additional MP for each 5 after that. Additional comments don’t roll over - IE. a thread with 14 comments counts for 2 MP and the extra 4 comments don’t count for MP in combination with other threads.

MAX 10 MP can be earned from BONUS AC

►TABLOIDS: Tabloids are new articles written about the characters in the game based on public appearances and contrived drama. They should have slight bearing in reality, but ultimately can be comprised of mostly flagrant rumor mill lies. They should be posted to #tabloids on

interstellar90210. Must be at least 250 words each to count for MP. A max of 2 tabloids can be counted per month.

1: writing a tabloid article about your character.
2: writing a tabloid article about someone else’s character and your character.
3: writing a tabloid article exclusively about other people’s characters.

►CONTENT: Your character must be part of the performance, be singing, or be the one getting menaced for it to count. Submitted threads must have at least 5 comments from you to count. Only one of each category can be cashed in in a month. This comment count overlaps with both regular AC and bonus AC. You can't cash in more than one song related bonus for the same song or performance, but you can cash in more than one if there are multiple songs being done in the same thread or log.

2: a character’s performance is a major part of an active log or thread. For this tier you don't actually have to write out the performance, it just has to be a driving force of the log's action.
+1 if the character sings or plays an instrument on stage in the log.
2: your character earnestly sings to another character.
+1 if it’s a duet where both characters sing.
2: thread where characters are actively menaced by fans/paparazzi.
3: thread where you control NPCs menacing other characters.
2: thread that includes your band’s Manager where you personally NPC them.
3: a thread where you rewrite at least 2 stanzas of song lyrics to suit your character’s past memories. Songs needs to be relevant to the thread, and if the lyrics don’t require rewriting then it doesn’t count.
+1 if the rewritten lyrics are part of a duet with another character.

MAX 10 MP can be earned from TABLOIDS and CONTENT

►EVENTS
5: Up to two events per month will be worth five points each if given significant participation. “Significant” means at least 10 comments worth of participation before the OOC end of the event. A relevant event is considered anything that there is an official mod posting for OOC and "!event" tag on the log community. This comment count overlaps with regular AC and bonus AC.

MAX 10 MP can be earned from EVENTS

At present, the max MP that can be earned in a month is a total of 30 MP.

Took a hiatus to cover 2 weeks of AC, but i fucked up i fucked up i fucked up and didn't realize that I ought to have covered the entire AC period.

Would it be possible to either retroactively apply another two weeks of hiatus and pretend this month doesn't exist, or to take a strike?
